New Hires

Welcome our new hires from across PayneWest

We’re excited to introduce you to some of our new colleagues!


Carley Brown joined us on September 22nd as an Account Manager on our Small Business team in Yakima. Carley is a proud graduate from the Washington State University School of Science in Pullman and comes to us with years of experience working in the Ag industry.  She will be a great resource for small business owners in that industry in our Yakima area.   Our own Alyssa Goins in Yakima CL recommended and introduced us to Carley earlier this year so we have been in communication with Carley for quite some time to work on bringing her aboard and the timing was finally right for her to join the team.


Leah Hill joined us on October 5th as an Account associate on our Personal Lines team in Missoula. Leah boasts significant sales experience in the Mortgage and Insurance businesses. She has worked for the past four years with AAA in Missoula selling Personal Lines Insurance and consistently placed in the top level of production for her office. Leah is excited to be part of the PayneWest team and leverage her experience and relationships to grow her client base in Missoula. Leah was referred to us by Kody Duckels.




Libbie Hoene joined us on September 21st as a Sales Executive on our Personal Lines team in Corvallis. Libbie attended Western Oregon University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications. While attending WOU, Libbie competed as NCAA Division II, volleyball player.  When she wasn’t helping the Wolves win volleyball games she and worked for Dutch Brothers Coffee and the WOU alumni office.  As many of you know, Dutch Brothers Coffee has a fantastic customer service training and culture.  After college Libbie, accepted a position with Enterprise Rental Car and quickly became one of the top sales associates in the State of Oregon. When Libbie isn’t succeeding and settling sales records she enjoys camping/hiking, exercising, decorating her new home, and playing with her very active one year old golden retriever. Libbie was referred to us by Darby Ramos (who also happens to be her fiancé!)


Dena Johnson joined us on September 30th as a Sales Executive on our Commercial Lines team in Billings. Dena has an undergraduate degree from Rocky Mountain College and Master’s in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University and has an extensive business background.  Most recently, she served for seven years as the Regional Director for Entrepreneurial Development for Big Sky Economic Development. In that role, Dena consulted with new and growing companies in finance, marketing, sales, management, leadership, lending, profitability, strategic planning, business planning, continuity planning, and consumer buying behavior.  As a result, she has built a state-wide referral network of commercial lenders, brokers, business resource partners, and community leaders.  Dena is also heavily involved in the Billings community where she’s served as a Trustee on the Rocky Mountain College Board including the Chair position for Rocky Mountain’s Strategic Planning committee. In addition, she’s served as a Committee Member on Yellowstone County Economic Recovery Restart, Innovate Montana, and Regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).  In her spare time she enjoys skiing, camping, golfing, fly fishing, and painting. Dena was referred to us by Vicki Lynn Terpstra and Jeremy Vannatta.


AiLi Palmer joined us on September 14th as an Account Manager on our Surety team in Spokane. AiLi attended Washington State University and graduated with a degree in Sports Management. While attending school, AiLi interned with the Gonzaga and WSU Athletic Departments and worked in a client relations role with Marriott. She is excited to leverage her internship and work experience to learn the Surety business. AiLi is also very involved with her community through her volunteer work with Special Olympics of Washington.



Alec Parker joined us on September 30th as an Account Manager on our Small Business team in Medford. Alec is an Oregon native and currently living in the Medford area. He has grown up in the insurance industry and has a strong background as a Small Business owner/manager of a local brewery. He is well known in the community and is connected to several colleagues within PWI in our Medford office.  Alec’s first day with us was spent “in” our Medford office where he will begin to work with the Small Business team, get licensed and transition to Bend. Alec was referred to us by Rob Swallow.



Sarah Wise joined us on October 5th as an Account Associate on our Commercial Lines team in Kalispell. Sarah has an Accounting Degree from Flathead Valley Community College and has worked for several years in transportation starting as a temp for CH Robinson and worked her way into a Key Account Manager role until they moved their operations to Boise.  Sarah is all about client relationships and making sure their needs are met. We are very excited for Sarah to lend her robust experience to the team in Kalispell!
