Without hops, there would be no beer. And that’s a world we don’t want to live in.
Last year, the Pacific Northwest supplied the vast majority of the country’s hops. Between Washington, Idaho and Oregon, there are close to 71,000 acres of hops across the three-state footprint alone. It’s no coincidence that we’re also located in those areas, because we know hops from the ground up.
Alyssa Goins specializes in the hop industry and been an active contributor in developing industry-specific insurance programs with carrier partners relied upon by the majority of the hop industry. She’s also been a featured speaker at hop industry meetings in the Pacific Northwest. Alyssa earned her business degree from Wenatchee Valley College and Concordia University in 2000 and has worked in the industry since 2001. She brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, from her work with small businesses as well as highly complex large commercial clients.
Gerry McGree is a graduate of Central Washington University where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration. Licensed in property, casualty, life and disability insurance since 1991, he’s spent the last 30 years deeply involved in his customers’ personal and business ventures. Gerry is a registered representative with Farmers Financial Services and has a Certificate of Insurance Council Designation. He’s a current member of the National Carrier Advisory Council and serves as a Downtown Rotarian. In 2019, he presented on hops industry insurance topics at the 2019 American Hop Convention.
