To Larry, the value of a true consultant is akin to the value of a true friend—“Sometimes, friends have to hear things they don’t want to hear,” he says. As a Certified Insurance Counselor, Larry hopes to conduct business with clients in the same manner he would counsel a friend. Insurance is a family business for Larry; after watching his father succeed in the industry, he found his way in. Larry focuses his work on mid-sized accounts that require a high level of service and risk management resources. Thanks to the fact that he takes the time to truly understand client needs and priorities, Larry consistently exceeds client expectations. His success can also be accredited to his belief that clients, colleagues and the community must remain in balance; Larry’s goals are directed at all three “pieces of the puzzle.” This is evident in his professional and civic pursuits—he’s a board member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Treasure Valley, a board member of the Treasure Valley YMCA, and a member of the Idaho Business Coalition on Education Excellence, among others. Larry enjoys the insurance industry because he finds it thrilling to solve a problem for a client, thereby helping that client succeed. He also finds joy in the moment when a client thanks him.
